I’m Eduardo Yanez, Founder & CEO. My journey began in Ecuador, where I studied law and ran two businesses. But life took an unexpected turn 25 years ago, when I moved to the U.S. and discovered my true calling—connecting people through language.
It all started when a lawyer invited me to assist with an interpretation. That moment changed everything. I discovered my passion for breaking down language barriers and connecting people. Determined to master the craft, I pursued professional certifications, including Bridging the Gap, gained expertise and immersed myself in the world of professional interpretation. Soon, clients started asking for me by name—and encouraged me to build something bigger. That’s how YIS was born.
